A COB light is a type of LED light, with COB standing for Chip-On-Board. COB lights are essentially an array of LED chips that are tightly packed together and bonded to a substrate such as silicon carbide. In effect this creates one large LED chip that has excellent uniformity of brightness, thus making it ideal for photographers and filmmakers.

Why you should choose COB flexible LED strip ?
1. Higher efficiency and less heat generation
When so many LEDs are packaged in such a small space, efficiency may be questioned. However, compared with other LEDs, flip-chip LEDs are superior in terms of efficiency and heat transfer. They actually operate at 14 watts/meter, just like our high-density strip lights, but compared to the 75/W of high-density strip lights, they output 100 lumens per watt.
Since they are mounted directly on the flexible PCB board, they are also much better in terms of heat dissipation. This helps them spread the heat to the PCB instead of locking it all in the light source itself. This reduction in thermal resistance in high-density circuits greatly increases the life of the LED.
2. More flexible
The flexibility of these belts is much better than other flexible belts because the diodes are smaller in size and the weight distribution is more uniform. The diodes are so small and closely spaced that any point of the strip is the same. Uniformity makes it easy to set up strips without worries for 5050 SMD LEDs to stick out where they are not needed it. This increased flexibility will make it easier for them to fit into confined areas and turn around in applications.

How to install the COB led strip light?
1, Clean the surface where COB led strip light is to be installed.
2, Cut the sutiable size of the COB led strip light you need.
3, Tear the 3M backside of the COB led strip light.
4, Paste the COB strip light to a fixed position.
5, Connect the power supply with COB led strip light.
6, Solder or a connector can be used for connecting COB led strps.
Attention
1. The max running length is 6 meters, for over 6 meters kindly connect COB strips in parallel.
2. Make sure the DC is suitable for the COB strips.
3. Match the polarities according to the mark ('+' and '-') in the PCB while connecting.
